Coming to Seaside first when I was six months old, it was always my dream to move to Seaside. Three years ago, I followed my dream and have been involved in community mental health. I graduated from college the first time from Oregon Tech. After a career in electronic engineering along with volunteering as a woman engineer mentor in the schools, I earned a MA in Elementary Education. Curious as to how some students learned more easily than others, I earned a PhD in Cognitive Development at University of Nevada, Reno in the College of Education, Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning. After teaching for over 15 years at the elementary, middle school, and college levels, I returned to school to earn a MA degree in Counseling and Psychology to continue to explore the social and emotional development.

With over 20 years working with individuals, families, and groups in the schools and community I have developed expertise supporting people working toward integrated wellness along with other providers in the community. In my spare time, when not enjoying the coast with my family and dog, I continue to teach education and research courses online for Northcentral University. I ontinue to explore social, emotional, and cognitive development in relation to learning and mental health.

As a licensed therapist transitioning from community mental helath toe practice therapist. I look forward to becoming even more involved in this great community. It doesn't get better than living in Seaside!
